Report on activities of Loyalists Kirkland, Fletchall, and Cunningham; "In three days I shall begin to march into the heart of Fletchal's quarters with 800 men & six pieces of canon." Accompanied by a typed copy of the letter possibly made by the rare book dealer Robert K. Black. William Henry Drayton (1742-1779), a Loyalist-turned-Patriot, served as president of the Council of Safety in 1775, and in 1776 was Chief Justice of South Carolina; member of the Continental Congress in 1778, and signer of the Articles of Confederation.
