- The primary topic of this interview concerned the experiences of Richard McCall from his birth in his home in Augusta, Georgia to his life and times in Davie, Florida. Mr. McCall lived in and around Davie all his life and witnessed distinct changes within South Florida and more specifically, the town of Davie. He joined the US Army after the Korean War and was stationed in England. He was also an avid motorcycle mechanic and rider and used this knowledge for his later endeavors. He attended the University of Florida with his wife for two years before moving back to Davie and worked for the Griffin brothers. Later on, he owned a nursery business with his wife and since retired.
