Abstract/Description:
Cardiovascular diseases are an important public health issue that effects all racial/ethnic groups. A plant-based/vegan diet is safe and effective modality for reducing risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease. This DNP project assess the effectiveness of a 6-week plant-based diet intervention on cholesterol, perceived wellbeing, and stress on patients diagnosed with hyperlipidemia.
