Perceptions of need satisfaction between students and alumni of Young Harris College
- Date Issued:
- 1989
- Summary:
- This study investigated how well a small, church-related two-year college has met and continues to meet the perceived interests, goals, needs, and expectations of its students. Recollections of college experiences of alumni from 5, 10, 15, and 20 years past were solicited by means of a questionnaire and were compared with perceptions of present-day sophomores. Replies were analyzed by a one-way analysis of variance. The findings of the study revealed that the attitudes, goals and social views of alumni from previous years did not vary significantly from those of present sophomores. Alumni and students agreed that their experiences were academically and socially beneficial. Finally, letters and comments from those responding were studied and these further supported the above findings.
