Note(s): Two new models for underwater laser line scan imaging systems using pulsed rather than CW lasers have been developed [10]. The models feature user selection of properties associated with the laser and the water path, including bottom reflectance, and ambient light characteristics. Also included are system operational selections such as scan rate, vehicle speed, and standoff distance as well as design characteristics such as source-receiver separation, laser power, and divergence angle.
