Note(s): Four recent advancements in undersea photogrammetric methods are described. These are a three-beam laser-structured illumination system used to obtain coarse range and size estimates which can be displayed as video overlays with any video camera; a laser mapping system capable of producing three-dimensional representations of reflective objects in a volume of water; a moiré system that uses a conventional video camera with "zoom" capability to generate variable resolution contour intervals displayed on the image in real time; and a neural network scheme capable of video rate inspection and classification of shapes and deformities obtained from moiré images. Each technique is discussed and results are presented indicating performance demonstrated in experimental trials.
