Note(s): 6-Hydroxydiscodermindole (2), a new discodermindole analogue, has been isolated from the deep-water marine sponge Discodermia polydiscus. It showed marginal in vitro cytotoxicity against cultured murine P388 leukemia cells. The isolation, structure elucidation and cytotoxicity of 6-hydroxydiscodermindole (2) is described.
