Attributed to Isaac Skillman, pastor of the 2d Baptist church, 1773-87, by Evans; also to John Allen in: Bumstead, John M. "New England's Tom Paine: John Allen and the spirit of liberty" William and Mary Quarterly 21 (1964): [561]-570. Dedication to the Earl of Dartmouth signed: A British Bostonian.
