Sunshine bass, a hybrid of female whitebass (Marone chrysops) x male striped bass (Maronesa:xatilis), were raised in tanks to mean weights of I ,333g on two experimental feeds and 894 g on a commercialfeed, 19 months after hatching. During 6-19 monthsposthatch, average weight gain and feed conversion(weight offeed fed/fish weight gained) were 2.8-3.0 gldand 1.05-3.16 with experimental feeds versus 1.6-2.0g!d and 1.34-4.87 with the commercial feed. After 19months, growth on the experimental feed decreasedsharply, and at 30 months mean weight was 1,710 g. Florida Atlantic University.
