Note(s): We report ten subtidal, benthic marine red algae as new distribution records for the Azores: Scinaia turgida, Crytonemia lomation, Grateloupia sp., Acrosymphyton purpuriferum, Predaea feldmannii, Nemastoma confusa, Schimmelmannia ornata, Corynomorpha prismatica, Hypnea arbuscula, and Chrysymenia bullosa. Each of these species is predominantly known from the tropical eastern Atlantic (West Africa) or from the Mediterranean.
