Note(s): This broadside is from the collection of a historic suite of hand-printed literary broadsides which are a part of the "Al-Mutannabi Street” Broadside Project at the Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts at the FAU Libraries. Each broadside is truly a work of art. All are printed letterpress, usually from handset metal or wood type. Some feature original relief prints, some are printed on handmade paper; all are made with the passion of artists who have something to say. March 9, 2007 Mutanabbu Street Baghdad is a poem by Julie Bruck and was adapted from a report by Sudarsan Raghavan first published in the Washington Post. This broadside was desgined by Carol Todaro and printed under the guidance of John Cutrone at the Jaffee Center for Book Arts, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida.
