Note(s): Six sediment cores were collected at various depths from a Halodule wrightii grassbed. Sediment size analysis of the upper 15 cm showed the sediment to be fairly uniform (95-98% sand). Analyses below 15 cm showed significant differences both between the upper and lower layers (sand vs. clayey/sand) and between replicates of the lower fractions (sand vs. clayey/sand), indicating a great deal of heterogeneity in these sediments below a depth of 15 cm.
