Note(s): The biology of Serranus subligarius, a typical inhabitant of low limestone reef outcroppings and artificial reefs from North Carolina to Florida and in the northern Gulf of Mexico, was studied on inshore jetties in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico from February 1974 to April 1975.
