Settlement of fouling invertebrates was monitored over a period of 1 year. The effectiveness of the sampling methods used is discussed. Invertebrates that established themselves in the cooler months were generally widely distributed forms while those that were found in the warmer seasons were usually stenothermic tropical forms.
