Isolation and identification of active principals from the marine sponge Topsentia sp.(Halichon driidae) are described in this paper.In this study, a fraction was identified which bound to the P2Y12 receptor.Fol lowed by bioassay-guided fractionation of this active fraction, one new compound Sch 572423 (2) was discovered in addition to the principal active compound, halistanol sulfate (1).
