| Note(s): | This broadside image is from the collection of a historic suite of hand-printed literary broadsides which are a part of the "Al-Mutannabi Street” Broadside project at the Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts at the FAU Libraries.Each broadside is truly a work of art. All are printed letterpress, usually from handset metal or wood type. Some feature original relief prints, some are printed on handmade paper; all are made with the passion of artists who have something to say. From the Al-mutanabbi street starts here a coalition of poets and writers who responded to the march 5th, 2007, bombing of baghdad’s street of the booksellers. | |
